About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Relations and Stakeholder Coordinator to join our team in Epping, Victoria for a 12-month parental leave cover. The successful candidate will support communications, community relations, and stakeholder relations, which includes but is not limited to; publications, newsletters, door knocking, weekly and monthly reports, chairing weekly meetings, and taking minutes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the construction team to ensure community and stakeholders are notified in advance of works in accordance with the Community Relations strategy.
  • Monitor effectiveness of community and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Work with the team to ensure public information about the project is clear, timely, and accessible for all stakeholders.
  • Update the project consultation database to ensure that all interactions with community, key stakeholders, and clients are logged accurately.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to mitigate construction impacts and effectively respond to feedback and concerns.
  • Identify and assist in managing issues and risks pertaining to the project and escalate issues and risks to the Communications and Engagement Manager.
  • Assist in managing responses to project-related inquiries.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings as required.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in communications and stakeholder relations, preferably in a construction or infrastructure environment. You should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop clear and concise community-focused communication materials drawing from various sources.

You will also require well-developed organisational and coordination skills, with a proven ability to determine priorities and manage tasks under pressure and to tight deadlines. Additionally, you should have strong administrative skills, particularly with the Microsoft suite of applications, and consultation management software.
