As part of our Marketing team, you'll play a pivotal role in implementing the Club's Public Relations and strategic communication strategies across major campaign periods, including the Caulfield Cup Carnival. Your responsibilities will be diverse and exciting:

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the PR manager in developing and executing the implementation of the 2023 Carlton Draught Caulfield Cup Carnival campaign, PR, and content strategy
  • Support the creation and distribution of media material, pitching, and executing media opportunities
  • Coordinate PR requirements with media partners to leverage the value of these partnerships
  • Profile the stories and people of our sport in line with campaign periods and racedays to generate positive awareness
  • Coordinate and execute PR and media activity for events, media launches, and racedays

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Public Relations, Professional Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role or PR agency
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to take direction and work cooperatively as part of a wide team, whilst also being proactive and a self-starter
  • Demonstrated networking ability and established relationships with media highly regarded
  • Knowledge of key industry players and general racing knowledge well regarded
