Public Relations Coordinator

As part of our Marketing team, you'll play a pivotal role in implementing the Club's Public Relations and strategic communication strategies across major campaign periods, including the Caulfield Cup Carnival. Your responsibilities will be diverse and exciting:
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the PR manager in developing and executing the implementation of the 2023 Carlton Draught Caulfield Cup Carnival campaign, PR, and content strategy
- Support the creation and distribution of media material, pitching, and executing media opportunities
- Coordinate PR requirements with media partners to leverage the value of these partnerships
- Profile the stories and people of our sport in line with campaign periods and racedays to generate positive awareness
- Coordinate and execute PR and media activity for events, media launches, and racedays
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Public Relations, Professional Communications, Journalism, Media, Marketing, or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role or PR agency
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to take direction and work cooperatively as part of a wide team, whilst also being proactive and a self-starter
- Demonstrated networking ability and established relationships with media highly regarded
- Knowledge of key industry players and general racing knowledge well regarded
