We are seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Stakeholder Engagement Specialist to join our Development and Future Networks team at AusNet Services Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to the transformation of the energy sector in Victoria.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering stakeholder engagement activities, providing engagement advice, and advocating for community and stakeholder outcomes. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our projects meet the needs of our stakeholders and communities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement communication and engagement plans aligned with relevant strategies and frameworks.
  • Deliver stakeholder and community engagement activities related to infrastructure projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders, landowners, and community members to mitigate impacts and risks to projects.
  • Coordinate stakeholder and community engagement consultants to support engagement program delivery.
  • Provide communication and engagement advice and support to project managers.
What You Need:
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or public relations.
  • IAP2 Certificate in Engagement or working towards.
  • Significant proven experience in communications and stakeholder engagement working on infrastructure projects.
  • Exceptional time management and planning skills.
  • Experience in active engagement with community members, community groups, and government stakeholders.
  • Appreciation of statutory planning and approvals process of major infrastructure.
  • Strong relationship skills across a range of stakeholder types.
