
Strategic Business Development Lead

The Director of Business Development will oversee large national accounts and sales programs for products and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Prospects and qualifies new customers to maintain a target list of qualified pipeline opportunities
- Provides input to management to respond to changing market conditions, improve internal efficiency, and maximize results
- Maintains strong professional relationships with existing customers, including participating in regular customer business reviews,
- Anticipates or identifies evolving customer needs
- Supports attainment of company goals and objectives aligned with the Sales Strategy
- Ensures timely submission of bids to Tender Management for proper completion
- Prepares client quotations and presentation of proposals
- Maintains client records and commercial activity with complete and timely entry of information into the CRM system
- Updates CRM with activities as per guidelines
- Manages target customers
- Travels as required
- Serves as liaison between customer and operational staff
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience considered in lieu of educational requirement
- Possess minimum 10 years related experience in sales, marketing, and customer service
- Proven track record of increasing sales year over year
- Possess minimum six years sales experience in freight forwarding
- Proficient knowledge of all products, and Partner network
This is a full-time role requiring a strong understanding of business development strategy, leadership skills, and customer-focused approach.
