Job Description:

The Director of Business Development will oversee large national accounts and sales programs for products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospects and qualifies new customers to maintain a target list of qualified pipeline opportunities
  • Provides input to management to respond to changing market conditions, improve internal efficiency, and maximize results
  • Maintains strong professional relationships with existing customers, including participating in regular customer business reviews,
  • Anticipates or identifies evolving customer needs
  • Supports attainment of company goals and objectives aligned with the Sales Strategy
  • Ensures timely submission of bids to Tender Management for proper completion
  • Prepares client quotations and presentation of proposals
  • Maintains client records and commercial activity with complete and timely entry of information into the CRM system
  • Updates CRM with activities as per guidelines
  • Manages target customers
  • Travels as required
  • Serves as liaison between customer and operational staff
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience considered in lieu of educational requirement
  • Possess minimum 10 years related experience in sales, marketing, and customer service
  • Proven track record of increasing sales year over year
  • Possess minimum six years sales experience in freight forwarding
  • Proficient knowledge of all products, and Partner network

This is a full-time role requiring a strong understanding of business development strategy, leadership skills, and customer-focused approach.
