We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Data and Research Governance Team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating our Data and Research Governance Frameworks to facilitate effective cancer-related research and timely access to data.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data governance, research, and management, with experience in leading and managing teams in a health context. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, codes, and guidelines, including the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, relevant privacy acts, and statutory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Data and Research Governance Team
  • Oversee and coordinate the Institute's Data and Research Governance Frameworks
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, codes, and guidelines
  • Manage large data linkage projects, including ethics applications and governance processes

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • Substantial experience in leading and managing in a research and/or data governance team in a health context
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in applying relevant legislation, standards, codes, and guidelines
