Data Governance Specialist

About the Role
The Data Enablement Analyst at Helia plays a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining robust data governance and quality practices across the organisation. This involves collaborating with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and subject matter experts to develop standards and controls that ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Main Responsibilities
- Support the Data Enablement Leader in establishing and maintaining data governance and quality practices.
- Develop and implement data quality programs, including profiling existing data assets, defining data quality rules, and standards reporting.
- Assist with compliance activities such as data protection, data privacy, and records risk management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to leverage agile methodologies and enhance data governance processes.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, information management, or a similar discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in a data quality, data governance, or business analysis role.
- Experience with metadata and data quality tools, preferably Informatica Data Management Cloud.
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
- Some experience with programming languages (e.g. SQL) and/or data visualisation tools (Power BI preferred).
