Pacific Communities Project Officer

The Role:

You will oversee the development and implementation of a Pacific health hub in Western Sydney. Your goal is to improve healthcare access for Pacific communities by coordinating activities and initiatives with relevant staff and services.

You will work closely with LHD teams to deliver high-quality care to Pacific people, aiming to achieve optimal health and wellbeing.

This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and the implementation of key initiatives within the Pacifica Hub.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate relationships with diverse stakeholders to drive improved wellbeing outcomes
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance Pacific communities' access to appropriate healthcare services
  • Collaborate with LHD teams to provide exceptional care to Pacific people
  • Implement and support key initiatives within the Pacifica Hub

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant health discipline
  • At least 3 years of post-graduation experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, including change management and implementation methodology, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Pacific communities in WSLHD
  • Able to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, report writing, and research skills
