The Opportunity

We are seeking a Health and Safety Professional to join our team at Veolia Environmental Services. The role is suitable for a relevantly qualified individual with excellent communication skills, and the confidence to liaise with clients, investigate incidents, and provide direct, educated feedback and advice. The position requires travel to various sites in Northern Queensland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building strong and engaging working relationships at all levels
  • Lead incident investigations and reporting
  • Conduct inspections and audits in accordance with the internal audit schedule
  • Be proactive in promoting Health and Safety and continuously help improve the business
  • Be visible across the workplace, building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders by spending time in the field
Requirements
  • Formal qualification in WH&S Cert 4 or greater and industry experience
  • Qualification in incident investigation such as ICAM
  • Effective influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels of an organisation
  • Working knowledge and understanding of relevant WHS legislation including Chain of Responsibility
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence
