Senior Health and Safety Business Partner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Business Partner to join our team at TAFE Queensland. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, students, and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong commitment to our organization's value of Safety First and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of workplace health and safety programs and initiatives across the TAFE Qld North region.
- Provide Expert Advice: Provide advice and education on WHS regulations, risk management, and best practices to ensure a safe and compliant work and training environment.
- Support Training and Development: Support the training of staff and management to promote awareness and foster a learning culture.
- Strong Knowledge of WHS Regulations: Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of legislative frameworks relating to WHSE and apply this knowledge operationally.
- Proven Track Record: Proven record of working collaboratively and providing expert advice to achieve workplace health and safety at worksites, undertaking investigations and implementing lessons learnt to achieve business outcomes and provide tangible safety results.
- Effective Communication: Highly effective written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to consult and liaise effectively with internal and external clients and work in a team environment to foster a workplace culture consistent with organizational values.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, attitude, and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging, and changing environment.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety: Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or higher).
- Extensive Experience: Extensive experience in Workplace Health, Safety, and Environment, or a related discipline.
- Current Driver's License: Current Queensland Driver License (as travel is required across the Region).
