">We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Policy Officer to join our team as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing Policy Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities while working in a supportive, collaborative, and culturally safe environment.
">Your Responsibilities Will Include:
">- Developing high-quality policy papers, briefs, and submissions that align with organisational objectives;
- Leading research initiatives to provide evidence-based insights for policy development;
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with diverse stakeholders to gather insights and foster consensus;
- Preparing detailed reports and briefings that clearly communicate policy positions and research findings;
- Project managing initiatives from inception to evaluation, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and timely completion;
- Providing expertise and advice on policy matters, offering guidance and mentorship to junior staff;
About You
">To be successful in this role, you will need to have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, coupled with relevant professional experience. You will also need to demonstrate your ability to develop and implement strategies that deliver tangible and measurable outcomes in the not-for-profit or public policy sectors. Your excellent organisational and time management skills will enable you to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
