Dedicated Policy Professional Wanted for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Policy Officer to join our team at Hudson Australia. In this exciting opportunity, you will play a pivotal role in driving evidence-based policies and strategies to enhance the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Key Responsibilities- Policy Development: Analyse trends, challenges, and opportunities to develop high-quality policy papers, briefs, and submissions that align with organisational objectives.
- Research and Evidence: Lead research initiatives, critically analysing literature, policy documents, and data to provide evidence-based insights for policy development.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, government agencies, and NGOs, to gather insights and foster consensus.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and briefings that clearly communicate policy positions and research findings to inform decision-making.
- Project Management: Plan, manage, and deliver projects from inception to evaluation, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and timely completion.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in health or a related field, coupled with relevant professional experience.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing strategies that deliver tangible and measurable outcomes in the not-for-profit or public policy sectors.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- The ability to draw on your expertise in policy development and research to deliver high-quality, evidence-based policy recommendations.
- A talent for engaging with diverse stakeholders to foster collaborative relationships and drive consensus on critical issues.
