As a Communications Specialist with Hudson Australia, you will play a pivotal role in shaping impactful communications that support the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

About the Opportunity

This fixed-term contract opportunity is for 2 days per week, with a salary package of approximately AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. As a community-controlled, not-for-profit organisation, we offer a collaborative and supportive work environment focused on professional growth.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication initiatives that support the organisation's vision and foster system-wide change. This includes:

  • Content Creation: Produce and manage digital and print content across multiple channels, ensuring messaging remains impactful, relevant, and aligned with organisational goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, to ensure communications are culturally responsive, accurate, and engaging.
  • Media Management: Oversee media relations, respond to media inquiries, and manage press coverage to promote positive visibility for our initiatives.
  • Internal Communications: Develop materials that keep staff informed and engaged, cultivating a supportive and culturally inclusive workplace environment.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all communications adhere to brand guidelines, aligning with the organisation's mission and values.
