Location: Deniliquin
Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD), Community Mental Health - Deniliquin, is looking for a motivated and skilled Youth Mental Health Clinician. You will deliver holistic, person-centred and trauma-informed care to young people with complex mental health needs and their families and carers. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan and deliver comprehensive mental health care to the Deniliquin region and surrounds.
Responsibilities- Engage with young people experiencing or at risk of developing severe mental illness and support their therapeutic engagement.
- Improve experience of care through integrated and coordinated service models.
- Prevent unnecessary hospitalisations through timely access to appropriate and targeted clinical care.
- Use a multiagency care plan to link providers across services involved in a young person\'s care.
- Provide enhanced support for families and carers of young people with severe mental illness.
Our priority populations include Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander young people, those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, LGBTQI+ young people, and individuals facing social and/or economic disadvantage, trauma, or risk of hospitalisation. About Deniliquin CMHAODThe Deniliquin CMHAOD team is the third largest of six CMHAOD teams in MLHD, with multidisciplinary clinicians and support staff delivering MH and AOD services across the lifespan from Deniliquin. We collaborate with MyStep and other community organisations to ensure appropriate care and have access to clinical leaders in MH, AOD and related specialty services.

- Relevant Australian qualification (Counsellor, Psychologist, Social Worker or Registered Nurse) or minimum bachelor\'s degree in a related field
