The Role

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and teachable person to join our team of caseworkers assisting families experiencing homelessness or homeless-risk in West and South West Sydney. This is a demanding but rewarding role requiring initiative, resilience, collaboration, creativity and genuine compassion.

Key Responsibilities

Assist families experiencing homelessness or homeless-risk in West and South West Sydney through case management and support activities.

Requirements

You will need:

  • ">
  • Qualifications and experience relevant to the provision of quality accommodation, care and support activities for families;">
  • An understanding of homelessness and the ability to provide warm and credible empathy to families at risk or experiencing homelessness;">
  • Able to articulate practice that is person-centred, trauma-informed, culturally competent and respectful of diversity;">
  • Ability to perform in complex and challenging community welfare settings – flexible and creative approaches to work matched with tested personal attributes such as resilience, patience, initiative, compassion and commitment to self-care;">
  • Competency to respond to the safety needs of children at risk of serious harm;">
  • Communication and administrative skills – computer literacy, documentation, data collection, etc.">

What We Offer
