Homeless Support Worker

This role is ideal for those who want to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.

  • About the Role:
  • We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Homeless Support Worker to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with clients to identify and build upon their ability to function independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Case Management Team to identify, action and respond to client needs as required.
  • Support clients to build upon their living skills and engage in capacity building.
  • Create a safe space for anyone that presents seeking support/assistance.
  • Complete reports for incidents, near misses and following policies and procedures to address potential high-risk situations and other work hazards.
  • Identify service gaps and risks, make recommendations for service delivery to the Leadership Team.
  • Participate in ongoing professional and skill development to enhance service delivery and practice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Cert IV in Community Services.
  • A current NSW Employee Working with Children Check.
  • A current First Aid Certificate.
  • A NSW Driver Licence (desirable).
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of Trauma Informed Care Framework (desirable).
