We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in providing support services to individuals experiencing homelessness.

As a Community Liaison Worker, you will be responsible for building relationships with rough sleepers and assisting them in accessing safe accommodation and support services.

You will work closely with our team to provide practical support and assistance, including distributing essential items such as blankets and clothing.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to assess their needs and provide appropriate support;
  • Providing information and referrals to local support services and advocating on behalf of clients where necessary;
  • Liaising with other agencies and organizations to ensure a coordinated response to the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness;
  • Assisting clients in accessing safe accommodation and support services, including housing and employment opportunities;
  • Responding to emergency situations and providing crisis intervention support when needed;

In order to be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A current NSW driver's license;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Experience working with marginalized or disadvantaged populations;
  • An understanding of trauma-informed practice and its application in supporting vulnerable individuals;
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations;
