We are seeking a compassionate Peer Support Worker to join our team. As a frontline worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness to achieve their goals and improve their wellbeing.

About the Role

This is a permanent, part-time position based in Surry Hills, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the Homelessness Stream Model of Care, providing information and support to clients, and establishing effective relationships with them.

Responsibilities
  • Implement the Homelessness Stream Model of Care across the country
  • Provide information and support to assist clients in assessing and addressing their issues, needs, and circumstances
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation
  • Support clients to achieve their identified goals and objectives through case plans
  • Create opportunities for client engagement and involvement in additional activities
  • Acknowledge the need for advocacy and policy input on behalf of clients
