Job Opportunity

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for leading major telecommunications projects that have a significant impact on the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee engineering delivery across assigned telecommunications infrastructure projects to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering resources and internal/external stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage engineering schedule, risks, priorities, and deliverables to meet client expectations.
  • Represent engineering in project meetings with clients and project managers to provide updates and address queries.
  • Lead design reviews and Safety in Design processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare and review scopes for subcontractors and suppliers to guarantee quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support on-site activities including installation and commissioning to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related) to demonstrate technical expertise.
  • 8+ years' experience in engineering delivery within EPC or related environments to showcase leadership abilities.
  • Background in telecommunications, mining, oil & gas, or defence sectors to highlight adaptability and versatility.
  • Skilled in engineering project controls, change management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure effective communication.
  • Proven ability to interpret technical scopes and deliver to schedule to demonstrate reliability.
  • Strong knowledge of design, commissioning, and construction processes to guarantee quality outcomes.
  • Confident managing subcontractors and technical queries to resolve issues promptly.
  • Chartered or eligible for MIEAust/CPEng (highly regarded) to demonstrate commitment to professional development.
