Senior Information Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Specialist to join our team at easyA - Recruitment made easy. As a key member of our organization, you will play a lead role in communicating the value of information, records, and archives, providing strategic advice, and influencing practice across the Government and the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, project, and program management, and team administration to ensure the delivery of consistent high-quality outcomes in set timeframes.
  • Plan and design creative problem-solving workshops and training materials that help influence across-government change in records and information management thinking and practices.
  • Plan, design, and deliver communications tools and strategies that provide sound advice and promote the importance of archives and records to government and the community.
  • Build, manage, and maintain high-quality collaborative and constructive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders to drive positive outcomes.
  • Prepare a wide range of documents, including agendas, papers, and minutes of meetings, project documents, and high-level briefings and reports.
  • Contribute to and participate in a team engaged in significant and transformational change processes.
  • Monitor and provide accurate and timely reporting on operations, project activity, workload, and resources.
Requirements
  • A tertiary degree or previous experience in a related field is highly desirable.
  • Experience using electronic document management systems would be an advantage.
  • Established ability to exercise good judgment, initiative, and work as part of a team in a dynamic and agile environment.
  • High-quality strategic and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of information management, archives, and/or records practices and ability to develop and apply information governance and records management frameworks, guidelines, or procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement continuous improvements of business processes and systems in a client-oriented team environment.
