About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resource Officer to join our team at The State Of Queensland. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement human resources policies, strategies, and initiatives that support and strengthen our workforce.
  • Build professional client relationships to create working partnerships and a high level of understanding of client needs.
  • Identify and investigate organizational issues and their implications, recommend innovative solutions and options, and facilitate the implementation of change plans.
  • Lead organizational development strategies and initiatives through partnering and networking to optimize wellbeing, engagement, diversity, and inclusiveness.
  • Support the team and organization to embed cultural practice, capability, and safety across the department through training, education, and ongoing professional development.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in human resources management, preferably in a government or public sector organization.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Knowledge of human resources policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
