The State of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will be responsible for providing strategic advice and support to our organization on human resource management, governance, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to the delivery of human resources projects and initiatives to enhance business outcomes.
  • Provide business-centered human resource management advice and support services on a wide range of complex human resource and change management matters.
  • Support the strategic and operational human resources committees and communities of practice, including contributing to agendas, developing papers, attending and participating in meetings, and recording minutes.
  • Coordinate human resources and workplace health and safety corporate risk management processes, including developing and maintaining risk registers, reporting, and monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of controls to minimize risk.
  • Explore opportunities to innovate human resources practices and identify areas for improvement based on data analysis.
  • Enhance human resources operations and service delivery and participate in the design of new solutions and new ways of working.
  • Develop performance indicators and measure the effectiveness of human resources process improvement.
  • Prepare reports, plans, submissions, briefing notes, and correspondence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in human resource management, governance, and risk management.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to provide strategic advice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
