Child Protection Specialist Role

We are seeking experienced professionals to fill a challenging position in our organization's child protection services.

About the Role:
  • This is an opportunity for individuals with a strong background in statutory child protection services or investigation services to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of child-focused practice, cultural sensitivity, and evidence-based decision-making.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of risk and safety to children and young people within a multi-disciplinary service model.
  • Engage in collaborative practice that respects the culture and context of each child, young person, and their family/carers.
  • Source accurate information and make informed decisions based on the child/young person's safety, welfare, and wellbeing.
  • Maintain a professional approach that prioritizes the changing needs of children, young people, and families.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in frontline statutory child protection services or investigation services.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or Welfare, along with relevant experience.
  • Other related degrees may be considered if the candidate demonstrates knowledge, skills, and experience in working with vulnerable populations.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range $89,934 – $116,969 per annum plus superannuation and annual leave loading.
