HR Specialist

We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join our Corporate Operations Branch, specifically within the Legal and Conduct section. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice on employment relations, conduct, and performance matters.
Key Responsibilities- Provide research-based advice to senior staff on complex employment issues, workplace relations, relevant legislation, and agreements.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of strategies to improve departmental outcomes in managing sensitive people matters, staff engagement, and workplace consultation.
- Represent the department in dealings with unions and other stakeholders, preparing materials for representation at tribunals and external jurisdictions.
- Assist in the development, management, and implementation of enterprise agreements, HR policies, and employment contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and processes.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in human resource management or law (desirable but not required).
- Experience in one or more of the team's responsible HR areas: workplace relations, performance, or conduct.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality advice and written material.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to represent the department in various settings.
