Job Overview

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a skilled Remuneration Specialist to join the People & Culture Division at the Australian National University. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a remuneration strategy that aligns with the University's goals of having a highly engaged and capable workforce.

About the Role

The Manager, Remuneration is a senior position that reports to the Deputy Chief People Officer (Strategy & Planning) and works closely with the Chief People Officer and other senior HR leaders across the University. The role involves providing expert, strategic guidance and support on complex remuneration, role sizing options, and leads best practice in these areas for the University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a remuneration strategy that aligns with the University's goals and values.
  • Administer remuneration-based activities that support the attraction and retention of staff through reward, remuneration, and recognition frameworks.
  • Provide strategic insights into the sector and general market trends and issues as the subject matter expert for remuneration, role sizing, and recognition.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require extensive knowledge and understanding of contemporary human resources management, especially remuneration and reward strategies and their impact on employee engagement and culture in a large-scale organisation, preferably in the higher education sector.

What We Offer

The Australian National University offers a competitive salary package, including a salary range of $128,316 - $134,446 per annum, plus 17% superannuation. You will also have access to flexible working arrangements, relocation assistance, generous superannuation, and salary packaging arrangements, including childcare. Additionally, you will contribute to important projects within the Division, Service Portfolio, and the University, and work closely with the Chief People Officer and other senior HR leaders across the University.
