Responsibilities

  • Trading of key seafood commodities, maintaining and building relationships with suppliers and end users.
  • Negotiating contracts and executing and monitoring existing contracts and obligations.
  • Maintaining responsible sourcing commitments for the Group.
  • Leading quality, value, supply security sourcing requirements across the Woolworths ecosystem.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring connections with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in soft commodity trading or FMCG procurement of seafood commodities.
  • Demonstrating ability to manage multiple seafood species, trading physical species and by-products, communicating with harvesters, fish mongers, and hedging with derivatives.
  • Proven experience in forecasting demand and supply inventories and usage, storage.
  • Product expertise in major currencies, AUD/NZ/USD/EUR commodity relative value spreads execution.
  • Previous experience in pricing physical markets using relative value to offshore markets and currency-adjusted prices.
