Norwest Private Hospital, a leading provider of private healthcare in Australia, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Educator to join our team as a Clinical Development Coordinator.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity requires a minimum of 8 years of clinical nursing experience, with current experience in a hospital-wide Nurse Educator role. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient safety and risk management in promoting bedside clinical teaching, while supporting the Quality and Education teams in achieving the highest standards of clinical care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate hospital-wide education and support for clinical and support services education
  • Coordinate the hospital education team, student program, graduate RN/EN nurse program, hospital-wide orientation, and mandatory training programs
  • Manage the learning management system and report on area-specific and hospital-wide compliance

Requirements

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Recent relevant and extensive experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Recent education experience in an adult learning environment
  • Post-registration clinical and education qualification in a specialty area/education/management
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills, including highly developed communication, problem-solving, and people management skills
