About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Coordinator to join our Perioperative Services team at Northern Beaches Hospital. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the NUM Anaesthetics/PACU by providing day-to-day operational direction for the service. You will work closely with all staff and anaesthetists to ensure efficient and effective coordination for optimal operating theatre efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day operational direction for the Anaesthetics/PACU service
  • Work closely with all staff and anaesthetists to ensure efficient and effective coordination
  • Support the NUM Anaesthetics/PACU in achieving high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance patient care and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient flow and care
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relative field of speciality or working towards
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in perioperative services
  • Extensive clinical skills and experience working in a perioperative suite with 10 or more theatres
  • Passion for quality/performance/process improvement initiative
  • Coach, mentor, supervise and provide preceptorship
  • High level of planning and organising skills
  • Well-developed oral and written communication
  • High degree of computer literacy
