Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care: Ensure that patients receive the highest level of care and attention, meeting current best practice standards.
- Assist in Endoscopy procedures: Prepare and deliver Endoscopy procedures, including equipment, instrumentation, and consumables.
- Manage consumables and equipment: Ensure efficient and effective management of high-cost consumables, including Prosthesis, and perform disinfecting of equipment as per Infection prevention and control guidelines.
- Develop and implement quality improvement projects: Participate in the orientation of new staff, develop and implement new systems, and mentor junior staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals: Work closely with line managers, proceduralists, and staff to ensure delivery of high-quality care and develop a strong working relationship.
Requirements:
- Current registration as a Nurse: Hold current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
- Education and experience: Possess a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in Endoscopy, including recent experience working in Endoscopy undertaking complex procedures.
- Knowledge and skills: Have knowledge of Legislative requirements, Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards, and GENCA guidelines, as well as sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Professional development: Be committed to ongoing professional development, including postgraduate qualifications.
