Endoscopy Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Nurse to join our team at Northern Beaches Hospital. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient management of our Endoscopy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care that meets current best practice standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of Endoscopy procedures, including all required equipment and consumables.
  • Ensure efficient management of high-cost consumables, including Prosthesis.
  • Perform and implement disinfecting of all equipment according to Infection Prevention and Control guidelines.
  • Participate in the orientation of new staff and ensure all resources are developed and implemented.
  • Mentor and coach junior staff.
  • Develop and implement new systems and quality improvement projects as needed.
  • Contribute to monthly audits and quality surveillance monitoring.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Endoscopy.
  • Recent experience working in Endoscopy, undertaking complex procedures including ERCP, EBUS, and EUS.
  • Knowledge of Legislative requirements and Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards and GENCA guidelines.
  • Member of GENCA.
  • Post-graduate qualification or commitment to complete one.
  • Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control principles.
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • High degree of computer literacy, including Endobase.
