CLINICAL EDUCATION COORDINATOR / NURSE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Part-time (minimum 4 days) / Full-Time position

Our facility is a leading private healthcare provider, equipped with 277 beds and a high-acuity emergency department, located in a rapidly developing area.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Nurse Educator to take on the role of Clinical Education Coordinator. This position requires a blend of leadership and management capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 8 years of clinical nursing experience, alongside current expertise in a hospital-wide Nurse Educator capacity.

Candidates should have at least 12 months of management and leadership experience and either hold or be pursuing relevant qualifications in this domain.

You will collaborate closely with the management team, engaging in various committees and working groups, and actively contribute to the Healthscope Education cluster.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient safety and risk management, promoting bedside clinical instruction while supporting the Quality and Education teams in achieving the highest standards of clinical excellence.

In partnership with the Director of Nursing, your responsibilities will encompass the planning and execution of hospital-wide educational initiatives, coordination of the education team, oversight of student programs, graduate nurse programs, orientation, and mandatory training sessions. You will also serve as the learning management system site administrator, ensuring compliance with area-specific and hospital-wide standards.

Essential Qualifications:

· Current registration with AHPRA

· Extensive recent experience in an acute care environment

· Relevant educational experience in an adult learning context

· Post-registration qualifications in clinical education or management

· Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment

· Proven leadership skills, including advanced communication (both written and verbal), problem-solving, people management, coaching, negotiation, and influencing abilities

· Demonstrated capability to coordinate, develop, deliver, and assess educational and training programs using diverse methodologies

· Proficient computer skills

· Familiarity with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and educational requirements for assessments
