About the Role

Talent International is seeking a highly skilled Senior WHS Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • WHS and Risk Management
    • Develop and implement effective safety management systems to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
    • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers, coordinators, and supervisors on WHS matters, including high-risk work, construction, and excavation.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and investigations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve high standards of safety performance and ensure a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Business Partnership
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with operational branches to deliver safety outcomes and promote a culture of safety.
    • Provide assistance to other functional areas of the Safety and Risk Branch as required.
  • Strategy, Innovation, and Continuous Improvement
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve safety performance and reduce risks.
    • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance safety systems and processes.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, responding to enquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
    • Act as a representative of Talent International, promoting a positive image and reputation.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related discipline.
  • Construction industry general induction (white card).
  • Experience in a safety leadership role, with a proven track record of implementing safety systems and improving safety performance.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NSW WHS Act and Heavy Vehicle National Law.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
  • Experience undertaking safety audits and investigations.
  • Experience in Local Government.
