Job Title: Heavy Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and experienced heavy diesel mechanic to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, test and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems and hydraulic systems on construction equipment and other heavy plant machinery/equipment
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines, and other parts on construction equipment and other heavy plant machinery/equipment
  • Routine maintenance such as servicing & lubrication
  • Undertake inspections, assessments and maintenance
  • Perform periodic preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Liaise with supervisor or management
  • Mentor and train workshop apprentices

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test
  • Clean Police Clearance
  • A minimum of a Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology / Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent

  • Experience with Hitachi, CAT, Volvo, Komatsu and Doosan Excavators
