About the Role
Minemec Diesel Services is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Diesel Fitter with proven experience in crushing and screening equipment to join our team on a casual basis with the opportunity to go full time. This FIFO/DIDO role is based in the Goldfields, Western Australia.
You'll be working hands-on with jaw crushers, cone crushers, screens, conveyors, and late-model earthmoving equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our clients' operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on mobile crushing, screening and late model earthmoving equipment.
- Perform component changeouts and fault diagnosis.
- Work with jaw crushers, cone crushers, screens, and conveyors.
- Provide field service across client mine and quarry sites.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to coordinate repair schedules and prioritise work.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
- Follow all safety protocols and compliance procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Trade-qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in the mining industry.
- Essential: Hands-on experience with jaw and cone crushers, screens, and conveyors.
- Strong mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Willingness to work a FIFO/DIDO day/nights roster with a minimum 2:1 schedule.
- Immediate Start available.
- Current driver's licence (HR preferred).
- Ability to pass a pre employment medical and drug/alcohol screening (Lab-Das)
- Provide a current National Police Clearance
