**Job Title:** Heavy Diesel TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Diesel Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of heavy equipment, including trucks, mobile plant, and light vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fault-finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems across trucks, mobile plant, light vehicles, and related machinery.
  • Carry out scheduled servicing and inspections to proactively detect and address wear or faults.
  • Strip down and rebuild major components of heavy equipment as required.
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and hydraulic assemblies.
  • Operate diagnostic software and tools to efficiently identify and resolve issues.
  • Record all service, repair, and maintenance activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Adhere to all workplace health and safety standards during daily operations.
  • Work closely with other technicians to complete complex tasks and major overhauls.

Requirements:
  • Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
  • Current & Valid Driver's License (HR Preferred).
  • National Police Clearance (validity dependant on site).
  • High Risk Forklift Licence (Desirable).
  • Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, mobile plant, or similar equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
