
Heavy Diesel Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fault-finding and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems across trucks, mobile plant, light vehicles, and related machinery.
- Carry out scheduled servicing and inspections to proactively detect and address wear or faults.
- Strip down and rebuild major components of heavy equipment as required.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and hydraulic assemblies.
- Operate diagnostic software and tools to efficiently identify and resolve issues.
- Record all service, repair, and maintenance activities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Adhere to all workplace health and safety standards during daily operations.
- Work closely with other technicians to complete complex tasks and major overhauls.
Requirements:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
- Current & Valid Driver's License (HR Preferred).
- National Police Clearance (validity dependant on site).
- High Risk Forklift Licence (Desirable).
- Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, mobile plant, or similar equipment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
