About the Role

Fuse Recruitment is seeking a skilled Desktop Home Assessor to join our client's Home Claims team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting digital/virtual assessments of properties insured by our client to determine cause, coverage, and repair of damages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough desktop assessments of insured properties using virtual assessing and/or causation reports provided by the insurer's suppliers.
  • Produce detailed reports determining cause, coverage, damage, and best repair methods.
  • Review scope of works and provide reports to ensure the most cost-effective and timely method of repairs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities and third-party building surveyors.
  • Negotiate with the insurer's panel of builders to define the scope of work and associated costing.
Requirements
  • Construction trade qualifications or equivalent experience is essential.
  • Computer competence, with skills testing may be required.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments and ambition to grow alongside the business.
  • Ability to prepare construction and damage repair quotes and estimations (training provided).
  • Completion of a background check during the interview process and proof of full working rights in Australia.
