Auburn Hospital Visiting Medical Officer Role

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled medical practitioner to join our team as a Visiting Medical Officer in Anaesthesia. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic and acute pain services for a variety of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing anaesthetic and acute pain services for obstetric and paediatric patients
  • Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient care
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient information
Requirements
  • Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated clinical knowledge and experience in Anaesthesia
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills

Selection Criteria
  1. Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists or equivalent qualification
  2. Sound clinical knowledge in Anaesthesia demonstrated through successful clinical practice
  3. Evidence of Continuing Medical Education and self-monitoring/audit practices
  4. Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner
