Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality anaesthetic services to patients at Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A fully trained anaesthetist with an appropriately recognised skill base by national or international societies.
  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (or equivalent).

Benefits:

  • Competence in areas including provision of anaesthesia, pain management, perioperative medicine, obstetric anaesthesia, quality assurance, research, and general medical and specialty training.
  • Maintaining quality and efficient use of resources within the hospital.

Other Key Aspects:

  • Providing consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient and on-call specialty services as determined and required by the facility.
  • Eligibility for credentialing and privileging across all other facilities in the Western Sydney Local Health District.

The successful candidate will demonstrate sound clinical knowledge in the practice of Anaesthesia, with skills and attitudes appropriate for practice as a Senior Medical Practitioner. This includes working within a multidisciplinary team, commitment to teaching and supervision, familiarity with research concepts, and recent clinical experience in a centre accredited for ANZCA fellowship training.
