The Role: Insurance Policy Support Specialist

This role provides administrative support to our underwriters throughout the policy process. Our support specialists assist with electronic file preparation, liaise with brokers, and perform various tasks associated with information gathering, rating, and policy management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support underwriters with activities related to managing insured accounts.
  • Manage files for each insured account, ensuring accurate recording of required information and documents.
  • Correspond with brokers regarding outstanding information or documents.
  • Draft quotes and binding notices for customers, ensuring review by underwriters prior to sending.
  • Ensure policy issuance to customers once a premium is agreed upon.
  • Assist the underwriting team with correct allocation of policy premiums and policy processing.
  • Collaborate with teammates in other offices and countries to complete tasks within agreed time frames.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Analytical and inquisitive, able to use initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer focus, with ability to develop and manage relationships.
  • Thorough and attentive to detail.
  • A demonstrated interest in a career in insurance is highly regarded.
