Are you a skilled and ambitious chef looking for a new challenge? We are currently seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Kingpin Melbourne.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art kitchen with a focus on delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences. As Sous Chef, you will play a key role in managing day-to-day kitchen operations, including stocktake, ordering, and rostering duties.

You will also be responsible for supporting the execution of Group & Corporate events, working closely with stakeholders to deliver outstanding results. Additionally, you will be expected to train and develop your team members to ensure they have every opportunity to grow their careers.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of food safety principles, particularly allergen & dietary management, as well as regulatory compliance requirements. Experience in working across large scale events and functions is also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Support the execution of Group & Corporate events
  • Train and develop team members
  • Enthusiastically drive and implement new menus and F&B promotions
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in high volume restaurants or premium casual dining environments
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Strong understanding of food safety principles
  • Experience in working across large scale events and functions
