Job Title: Assistant Executive Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Executive Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of the kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for leading by example, mentoring junior chefs, and driving innovation in food preparation and presentation.

About This Role:

  • Assist the Head Chef in developing menus, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
  • Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
  • Mentor, train, and support junior team members in developing their culinary skills.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with culinary trends and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, adhering to established recipes and procedures.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment.
  • Develop and implement effective systems for food preparation, storage, and presentation.
  • Lead by example, promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and guests.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a fast-paced hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Genuine passion for food with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Ability to mentor and motivate the team to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
