Job Opportunity: Chef in a High-Volume Kitchen

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing hot and cold meals for business and economy class passengers on various domestic and international flights.
  • Following precise recipes and menus tailored to each airline partner.
  • Handling bulk ingredients and working on mise en place.
  • Responsible for stock control and minimizing food wastage.
  • Assisting section leaders and sous chefs with planning and executing daily and weekly schedules.
  • Cleaning and maintaining a hygienic work station and kitchen environment at all times.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III Commercial Cookery or higher qualifications required.
  • Passion and drive to deliver high-quality food to our customers.
  • Ability to work a flexible 7-day rotating roster.
  • Understanding of written and verbal English, able to follow recipes and communicate effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Motivated and hardworking individual with a positive attitude.
