Senior Counsellor Job Overview

The Senior Counsellor plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, client-centred counselling and supervision services that cater to the needs of employees, clients, and families.

This position is integral to the Supporting Recovery Program, providing trauma-informed recovery care for victim-survivors of family, domestic, and sexual violence.

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A Master's degree in human services or a related field with a minimum 3 years' experience
  • Clinical membership with relevant professional bodies such as PACFA or ACA
  • Experience in trauma-informed practice
  • Expertise in individual and group counselling
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Significant experience working within the Domestic and Family Violence sector
  • Strong understanding of inclusive and respectful practices when interacting with diverse communities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Key Responsibilities

The Senior Counsellor will be responsible for delivering comprehensive counselling services that address the complex needs of clients.

Requirements
