Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to lead the efficient operation of our production line.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will oversee and manage daily operations to meet company goals and objectives.
  • They will lead and manage a small team of technicians, assistants, and apprentices assigned to production builds.
  • Drive a positive team culture that fosters respect, accountability, and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for work instructions, build processes, and QMS compliance.
  • Champion continuous improvement of procedures, installation consistency, and build quality.
  • Monitor and report on progress, flagging delays or issues to the Production Manager in advance.
  • Lead by example in safety, professionalism, punctuality, and presentation.
  • Maintain strict adherence to OHS policies, ISO9001 standards, vehicle manufacturer proscribed guidance, relevant AS/NZ Standards, and internal policies.

  • Performance monitoring and reporting

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing/Production Manager position
  • Automotive industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrated experience with QMS or ISO9001 systems
  • Proven experience in applying LEAN manufacturing principles to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and reduce waste in a production environment
  • Excellent understanding of safety principles and behaviours
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce
  • Ability to effectively influence and engage at all levels
