Grande Bakery is opening a new flagship store in Strathpine Centre and we are on the lookout for a Front of House Supervisor to lead the entire front of house team in delivering an outstanding bakery cafe experience.

The candidate will oversee the customer-facing operations of a bakery, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth daily operations, team leadership, and coordination with the kitchen/back-of-house staff.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service:

  • Ensure all guests receive a warm, welcoming, and efficient service.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor presentation of displays and maintain a clean, appealing front-of-house area

Team Supervision:

  • Lead, train, and schedule FOH staff (cashiers, servers, baristas).
  • Provide on-the-job support, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Delegate daily tasks and ensure responsibilities are carried out efficiently.

Operations:

  • Oversee POS systems, handle cash, and reconcile tills.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Manage inventory of front-of-house supplies and communicate restocking needs.

Collaboration:

  • Liaise with kitchen/back-of-house staff to ensure order accuracy and timely service.
  • Communicate daily specials, product updates, or changes to staff and customers

Reporting:

  • Report any maintenance or operational issues to management.
  • Track FOH sales trends and provide input on improving efficiency or customer experience.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a bakery or café.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic financial procedures.
  • Food safety certification (may be required).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.

Typical Schedule

  • 7:00am - 2:00pm weekdays. Weekends and holidays may be required.
  • Generally aligned with bakery operating hours (e.g., 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM or similar).

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $50,345.59 – $81,893.21 per year
