Job Description:

The Production Line Manager oversees and leads the efficient operation of the ambulance production line, workflow, documentation, and output quality. This includes planning, scheduling, supervising staff, and ensuring all vehicles are delivered to specification, on time, and in compliance with ISO9001 and internal QMS requirements.

  • Lead and manage daily operations to meet company KPIs.
  • Manage technicians, assistants, and apprentices assigned to ambulance builds.
  • Drive a positive team culture that fosters respect, accountability, and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain work instructions, build processes, and QMS compliance.
  • Champion continuous improvement of procedures, installation consistency, and build quality.
  • Monitor and report on progress, flagging delays or issues to the Production Manager in advance.
  • Lead by example in safety, professionalism, punctuality, and presentation.
  • Maintain adherence to OHS policies, ISO9001 standards, vehicle manufacturer proscribed guidance, relevant AS/NZ Standards and internal policies.

Candidates will have previous experience in Manufacturing/Production Manager positions, preferably within the automotive industry. A demonstrated understanding of safety principles and behaviours, LEAN manufacturing principles, and experience with QMS or ISO9001 systems is essential. Excellent leadership and communication skills are also required.
