We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Counsellor/Advocate.
The successful candidate will provide high quality trauma focused counselling and therapeutic interventions to adults who have experienced sexual assault and/or family violence.
This role requires a collaborative approach, working with clients, their families and key agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing counselling and therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups
- Undertaking evidence-based assessments, case formulation, goal setting, advocacy, group work and crisis response
What We Need
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A formal qualification in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership
- Demonstrated clinical experience working with complex trauma related to sexual assault and/or family violence
- Crisis intervention skills necessary for supporting people who have experienced trauma
