Job Description:

The Senior Cost Planner will play a key role in ensuring accurate measurement and reporting of project costs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing critical analysis and support to project managers in budget planning, cost estimation, and financial management
  • Ensuring that approved budgets are correctly reflected in SAP and cost reports
  • Preparing and submitting cost plans templates to project finance for uploading against approved estimates
  • Conducting thorough analysis to ensure costs are accurately allocated to projects and work breakdown structures (WBS)
  • Assigning resources to the correct WBS for time sheeting purposes
  • Verifying and checking invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Assisting with on-site progress verification as required

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A minimum of 7 years' experience in infrastructure or construction projects in a cost discipline, including quantity surveying, cost planning, or cost control
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project accounting policies, project appraisal, project planning & budgeting, and project reporting requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent qualifications and experience
  • Chartered status from a recognised professional body is highly desirable
