About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Product Marketing Leader to join our team at CMC Markets. As a key member of our Marketing department, you will be responsible for driving the strategic marketing direction for our CFD and Share Trading products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Product Marketing Strategies: Develop and clearly articulate the Invest product marketing strategy, positioning, value proposition, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and rollout of existing and new products and features.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the broader Marketing team, Sales, and Customer Services to build out their product knowledge and provide them with the insights, positioning, messaging, and content they need to succeed.
  • Market Analysis and Customer Insights: Assess the market, competitors, industry trends, and customer needs. You should know your market, competition, and customers inside out and be able to integrate this information into your product marketing plans.
  • Customer Proposition Development: Refine and maintain customer propositions based on feedback and changing buyer personas/customer needs.
  • Product Prioritization and Framework: Support the Product team with a prioritization process and framework to ensure customer-centricity is at the heart of all product and feature builds.
  • Customer Feedback and Voice of Customer: Develop a Voice of Customer (VoC) framework to provide customer feedback in a constructive manner to support product development and enhancements.
  • Commercial Targets and Adoption: Drive the adoption, use, and advocacy of the CMC Share Trading & CFD platform, alongside brand, digital, and lifecycle teams, to achieve annual commercial targets.
  • New Product Propositions: Develop and deliver new product propositions for key customer segments, across different markets. These propositions will be based on your market research, plus all qualitative and quantitative inputs and insights.
  • Collaboration and Evaluation: Collaborate with the product team and squads to regularly evaluate our proposition in market, offering suggestions for improvement or future growth.
  • Reporting and Recommendations: Provide ongoing reporting on product marketing/GTM programs to drive continual improvements and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Strong Product Marketing Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience in product marketing, spanning several products and features from ideation to launch and maturity.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of people management experience.
  • Curiosity and Customer-Centric Mindset: Curiosity and a customer-centric mindset are essential for this role.
  • Data Analysis and Communication: You'll be comfortable working with, analyzing, and using data to make appropriate marketing decisions. A good natural communicator/project management experience is also essential.
  • Commercial Skills and Knowledge: Commercial skills to understand the role a product feature plays within company strategy and the commercial return on investment are required. Knowledge of or passion for the financial markets and online share trading is also essential.
  • Education and Experience: A relevant university degree in business, marketing, or media/communications is required. This solid experience will be underpinned by a high attention to detail and aesthetics, and great interpersonal skills, which will help you when working with a variety of key global stakeholders.
