The Director of Communications and Engagement will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive communications and engagement strategies to support the School's Strategic Design and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a high-performing team responsible for the school's brand and image, events, philanthropic support, and engagement with parents and the community.
  • Implement an integrated communications and engagement program, effectively positioning key messages by ensuring quality communications, planning and management of media relations, leveraging stakeholder relationships, and brand management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including parents, staff, and the broader community.
  • Provide strategic advice to the Principal and other senior leaders on communications and engagement matters.
  • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communications and engagement strategies and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior communications role, preferably in an education or not-for-profit sector.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective communications and engagement strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including parents, staff, and the broader community.
