Safety Engineer

Facilities are expanding at the Pluto Train 2 Project in Western Australia, integrating with LNG and processing Scarborough gas. This role supports facility commissioning and startup, providing knowledge, input, training, and consultative support for a discipline or process.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and coordinate an integrated LOTO program on the project, ensuring safe and uniform work control and isolation of hazardous energy sources.
- Ensure compliance with established safety protocols; utilize electronic Energy Isolation Permits (EIPs) through a centralized system.
- Provide support to Construction, Operations, and Commissioning teams in isolating piping, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Identify and establish isolation boundaries based on work scope, creating EIPs as required.
- Administer and enforce the energy isolation program with thorough record keeping.
- Coordinate activities with other disciplines and stakeholders; monitor subcontractor compliance with energy isolation requirements.
- Maintain and provide training on EIPs; oversee installation and inspection of LOTO equipment (locks, tags, etc.).
- Support project activities with additional duties as directed; participate in planning, turnover coordination, material management, quality control, and environmental health and safety.
- Monitor and resolve issues related to energy isolation and EIPs.
